Children
All parts of the children’s gathering, including programs for Infants and Toddlers, the Preschool program and the grades K through 5 program, will be located in the C-pod upper level.
Registration for children (completed grades K-5 in spring 2009, preschoolers and infants and toddlers) is from 1 to 5 p.m.Tuesday, June 30. If possible, children are encouraged to register at this time. Registration for children will also be available beginning at 7 a.m.Wednesday, July 1.
Infant and toddler care
(for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years, not toilet trained) During convention activities, quality childcare is provided for infants and toddlers. We will strive to provide nurture and care in a safe and loving environment. A variety of activities will be offered, including story time, singing, art activities, free play, rest and snack. Snacks for older toddlers will be provided. Please provide diapers and formula for infants and plan to take your little ones to lunch sometime between 11:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. daily. Care hours begin at 6:30 p.m.Tuesday evening, June 30th and conclude at 9:15 p.m. July 4.Wednesday through Saturday, care hours begin at 8 a.m.We encourage you to take your children along with you to joint worship on Thursday evening, in order to truly have worship with all ages. However, care will be available if needed. Infant and toddler care is located in the C Pod on the second floor.

Preschool
(for toilet-trained 3 year olds to those entering kindergarten) God calls us to share the good news.Through stories from the Old Testament and stories of Jesus’ life and ministry, preschoolers will learn how God helped Noah, Samuel,Zacchaeusand the disciples listen to God’s call.They will exploreways they can be friends, peacemakers and helpers in their families, their churches and neighborhoods. Preschoolers will sing, play, listen, relax and go on adventures through the convention center.While parents and adults gather and are empowered by the Spirit, preschoolers will breathe the goodness of God’s love and grace. Daily schedules
The curriculum, designed by Rosemary Widmer, pastor at College Mennonite Church in Goshen, Ind., will draw children into stories of New Testament women and men who were filled with challenges and excitement when the Holy Spirit entered their lives. Children will explore what it means to be filled with the spirit in our everyday living.Teresa Miller, Children’s Music Director at Howard-Miami Mennonite Church inKokomo,Ind.,will serveasmusic leader.The week is designed to promote a community of learning as Bible stories, dramas, music and mission activities are explored.There will be field trips, games, entertainment, make-it and take-it art projects. Random Acts of Kindness will be our Service Project.We will make thank you cards to insert in a gift bag for the staff at the convention Hotels along with singing some of the songs we learned in our worship time.

- 1 to 5:30 p.m. – Service Project: Random Acts of Kindness (Thank you cards and bags given to convention hotels’ staff along with singing songs for the hotels’ staff.)
Offering
Throughout the week of convention, the children will collect money to repair the playground equipment for Iglesia Menonita del Cordero in Brownsville,Texas. This congregation works with many families who live in poverty and supports poorest of the poor in South Texas.
