Logistics
When to arrive in Columbus
Pastors’ Day begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, which means you’ll want to arrive sometime Monday afternoon or evening to ensure you’re well rested and ready to register and start networking with other pastors and spouses Tuesday morning. If you live within driving distance and plan to arrive Tuesday morning, Pastors’ Day organizers suggest you plan to be in Columbus by 8 a.m. so you have plenty of time to find a parking spot, register and make your way to the event.
Where you’ll want to go first-thing Tuesday morning
Before you start looking for the actual Pastors’ Day event, you’ll need to pick up your Convention 2009 registration bag. To do this, you need to go to the Greater Columbus Convention Center and follow the signs to “Registration.” From there, the staff person or volunteer who helps you will be able to direct you to where Pastors’ Day will be. Here’s a map of downtown Columbus that should help you find the convention center. Special on-site registration for Pastors’ Day participants will begin at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, and we encourage you to complete this process as early as possible so you have time to make your way to the event and connect with old and new friends along the way.
Lunch and snacks
Lunch and snacks will be provided as a part of Pastors’ Day. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle or coffee mug to reduce the amount of waste we create throughout the week of convention.
What to bring
Bring your Bible, a copy of Sing the Journey and Sing the Story (if you have them), a reusable water bottle, a notebook and writing utensil. If you have read any of the suggested reading for Pastors’ Day, you may also find it helpful to have one of those books on-hand as well (but we also understand no one wants to carry unnecessary weight in their luggage).
