Stories: How Mennonites Came to Be

“The title describes both the scope and the method of this book. The scope is the Mennonite Church worldwide from its beginning until today. To provide background, the history of the church from its beginning to the Reformation is sketched. The method is stories that deal with people and incidents.
“This popular book on Mennonite history is well worth reading.

Stories provides a helpful medium for the message and John D. Roth is an excellent storyteller. Chapter summaries provide good wrap-up of the material covered. Highly recommended.”
