Convention 2009 video available
An online video promoting Convention 2009 is now available for viewing. The video, which includes testimonials from past convention attendees and volunteer convention planners, can be viewed at www.MennoniteUSA.org/convention or on YouTube by searching for “Mennonite Church USA Convention Preview.” For past conventions, Executive Leadership has shipped a DVD or video to all Mennonite Church USA congregations to be used within the congregational setting.
Log on, watch the free video and share the link with others in your congregation or watch it as a group. Pastors and youth sponsors currently on Facebook also are encouraged to join the “Mennonite Church USA Convention” group to access up-to-date information and begin introducing youth to the event.
Convention 2009 will be June 30 to July 5, 2009, in Columbus, Ohio. The theme is “Breathe and be filled” and is based on John 20:21-22. In the passage, Jesus breathes on his disciples, encouraging them to receive the Holy Spirit.
