Your Corinthian Plan Wellness Benefits

New Preventive Benefit added for 2012

Adults with a Body Mass Index (BMI) over 30 and children with a BMI in the 85th and 95th percentile now have access to covered preventive care for nutrition counseling, and additional office visits with a health care provider for care specifically related to obesity. To learn more refer to the 2012 preventive benefits schedule from Highmark.

Wellness Benefits added during the 2011 plan year

Spouses are now eligible to earn the financial wellness incentive. Employee and covered spouse can earn up to $300 in wellness incentive money for participating.

Voluntary and confidential outbound wellness coaching from Everence was initiated mid-year. The goal is to offer additional support to people who may potentially be at high risk for heart disease, diabetes or depression. 

Continuing Benefits

Wellness Incentive.
Complete the Highmark wellness profile, and set some wellness goals. Feel more in charge of your health, and earn back a financial incentive.  Note that the wellness incentive requirements need to be completed by December 31st in order to qualify for the incentive for that plan year.

The Highmark website has many offerings.  Log on and start with the wellness profile. This will direct you to resources that may have more personal appeal or simply read and learn about what interests you.
