Krehbiel joins Mennonite Church USA staff

NEWTON, Kan. - Perry Krehbiel of Moundridge, Kan., has joined the staff of Mennonite Church USA as interim finance assistant for Executive Leadership. He works in the Newton office.

Krehbiel previously served as a statistics and compliance specialist at the Moundridge office of Mutual Aid Exchange (MAX). He was accountant and bookkeeper for Mennonite Property Aid Association, Moundridge, and served as treasurer for the organization and its board of directors from 1986 to 2008.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Bethel College in North Newton, Kan., Krehbiel earned his master of arts in teaching (mathematics) degree at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He taught in the Wilber (Neb.) Public Schools from 1972 through 1975 and as an MCC volunteer at Jesus Teacher Training College in Otukpo, Nigeria, from 1975 to 1977.

He is treasurer of the Associated Churches of Moundridge and has served as treasurer of Eden Mennonite Church, Moundridge, where he and his wife, June, attend. They have two young adult children.

Krehbiel replaces Roland Miller, who retired Aug. 31.
