Marco A. Güete serves as the director of Hispanic Ministries for Mennonite Church USA, a position he has held since 2015 (previously as part of MC USA’s Mennonite Education Agency). He provides leadership and vision for Hispanic ministry initiatives, supporting congregations and pastors through training, networking and program development.
Güete brings more than 40 years of pastoral and leadership experience. He began his ministry by planting Community of Faith Mennonite Church in Chicago, Illinois. As Hispanic Ministries program director for the General Conference Mennonite Church, he founded the bi-national Anabaptist Biblical Institute (IBA), which trained hundreds of leaders across the U.S. and Latin America.
His leadership roles have included serving as urban director with Mennonite Mission Network and associate conference minister with Western District, as well as other conference leadership positions within MC USA.
Güete holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies with a concentration in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Friends University, and a Certificate in Hispanic Ministries from Goshen College. He is a credentialed minister with MC USA and a member of Seguidores de Cristo Mennonite Church in Sarasota, Florida.
