British Columbia pastor to edit ‘Rejoice!’

Janzen appointed by MennoMedia and Kindred Productions

HARRISONBURG, Va.,and WATERLOO, Ont.—Jonathan Janzen of Abbotsford, B.C., has been appointed editor of Rejoice!, a daily devotional magazine. His work, on a contract basis, starts in January.

Rejoice! is co-published by MennoMedia and Kindred Productions. MennoMedia is an agency of Mennonite Church USA and Mennonite Church Canada. Kindred serves Mennonite Brethren churches in Canada and the U.S.

Janzen is part-time pastor of Highland Community Church in Abbotsford. He is also an instructor for Canadian Mennonite University’s Outtatown Program in British Columbia. He recently filled in as editor of Mennonite Brethren Herald while the editor was on maternity leave.

Janzen regularly serves as a guest speaker at worship services, church retreats, and Bible camps.

From 2000 to 2005 Janzen was a radio producer for Family Life Network in Winnipeg, Man. He has also taught part-time at Columbia Bible College.

He holds a Master of Christian Studies degree from Regent College. He earned undergraduate degrees from both the University of Winnipeg and Concord College.

Janzen succeeds Byron Rempel-Burkholder of Winnipeg, who edited Rejoice! for 10 years. Rempel-Burkholder will continue his work as managing editor of Herald Press books for MennoMedia.
