Leadership workshops to focus on faith formation and healthy boundaries

By Annette Brill Bergstresser, Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary

ELKHART, Indiana (Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary/Mennonite Church USA) — On Monday, March 2, daylong workshops for pastors, lay leaders, youth leaders, parents, educators and those forming faith in the community will be offered at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS) in Elkhart, Indiana, in conjunction with a conference on Shaping Faith in a Digital Culture that will begin there that evening.

Topics for the March 2 workshops include:

  • Love Jesus, Grow in Faith, Change the World: Shine Curriculum’s Vision for Faith Formation (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
  • Forming Faith in Digital Spaces: Workshop with Scribes for the Reign of God (collaborative research project) (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
  • Healthy Boundaries 101 Training (8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.)
  • Healthy Boundaries 201 Training (8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.)

The associated conference, Shaping Faith in a Digital Culture, will run from 7 p.m. on Monday, March 2, through 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, on the AMBS campus. The event is a joint conference of two annual leadership gatherings: AMBS’s Pastors and Leaders 2020 and Mennonite Church USA’s Deep Faith.

Participants can choose to register for a Leadership Clinic by itself or in addition to their Pastors and Leaders 2020/Deep Faith registration. Also, they can earn 0.4 CEUs for attending a clinic.

For information about workshop presenters, topics, costs, group discounts and registration, see ambs.edu/leadershipclinics. To learn more about the joint conference, see ambs.edu/pastorsandleaders.

With offices in Elkhart, Indiana, and Newton, Kansas, Mennonite Church USA consists of 564 congregations and 62,361 members.

Located in Elkhart, Indiana, Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary is a learning community with an Anabaptist vision, offering theological education for learners both on campus and at a distance, including a wide array of lifelong learning programs — all with the goal of educating followers of Jesus Christ to be leaders for God’s reconciling mission in the world. ambs.edu
