Living With The New Prevention & Accountability Resource: A Guide for Congregations

Join Mennonite Church USA’s Safe Church ministry for an online training webinar based on Part 1 of MC USA’s new Prevention and Accountability Resource, approved by delegates at the July 2025 convention. Designed for pastors, church leaders and congregational teams, this session will provide practical guidance to help congregations create safer spaces and stronger systems of accountability.
The webinar will feature MC USA’s Michael Danner, associate executive director for Church Vitality, with Nancy Kauffmann, interim denominational minister for Church Safety, serving as host.

- This abuse prevention and healthy boundaries training video is designed specifically for adults volunteering in faith communities, such as churches, camps, or schools. It is available to you and the adult volunteers at your church. We also offer the video and a one-hour Zoom discussion facilitated by a Safe Church presenter.

Outside Resources
- Click here for information on Everence Safe Church matching grants available to reimburse congregations up to $350 every three years on abuse prevention. A congregational stewardship advocate is required to be eligible for a grant. These funds can assist congregations in accessing resources from Safe Church such, as background checks, consultations and protection policy servies.
